After the search
The words on the order screen, and what each one commits to
The search ends when you paste a link. What comes next is a screen full of short words that look obvious and are not. This page is the vocabulary, taken from the official pages rather than from how people use the words in chat.
QC is the inspection OOTDBUY runs in its warehouse before anything is packed for you. GL and RL are seller slang for green light and red light, meaning other buyers judged a batch acceptable or not; neither is an OOTDBUY term and neither appears on any official page. Batch means one production run of a copy, and it is a seller word too. Prepaid amount is the money already sitting against the order, which is why the total can show as a negative number on the screen. Declaration fee is the customs paperwork charge, stated as generally 8.00 CNY.
The split matters: the official words are things somebody is accountable for, and the slang is a community opinion with nobody behind it.
What the inspection actually covers, and the three things it does not
OOTDBUY publishes its inspection scope, and the useful half of that page is the exclusions. Staff verify quantity, colour, size and other specifications against your order. Then they remove the original courier box and repack into OOTDBUY sealed bags, keeping the original box only for fragile or oversized goods.
Outside the scope, in the policy own words: colour difference, size error and usage effect. For electrical, digital and peripheral goods, quality, model and spare parts are also outside it. For sealed categories such as CDs, handmade items and adult products, the bag is not opened at all and only the outside is checked for damage.
Read that list twice before you decide inspection protects you. A shoe that runs a size small passes. A hoodie two shades off the listing photo passes. A speaker that powers on but sounds wrong passes. Those are not failures of the warehouse; they are the stated boundary of what it was ever doing.

How to read the QC photos you get back
QC photos are evidence of a narrow set of claims, so read them for those claims and nothing else. Four passes, in this order.
Count and completeness. Everything you ordered, plus whatever the listing said was in the box. This is inside the scope, so a gap here is the warehouse problem to fix.
Labels against your order. The marked size and the colourway on the tag, compared with the line on your order, not with your memory of the listing. Also inside the scope.
Shape and construction. Stitching, panel lines, hardware, the way a sole meets an upper. Nobody promised this, which is exactly why it is worth your minutes rather than the warehouse minutes.
Colour, last. Phone cameras and warehouse lighting both shift colour, and colour difference is excluded anyway. Treat the photo as proof the item exists in roughly that shade, not as a swatch.
Where the money goes
The service fee is zero, and the exchange rate is not
OOTDBUY states that beyond product cost, international shipping and customs clearance, no other fees are charged, and puts the customs declaration fee at generally 8.00 CNY. That is accurate and it is also not where your money leaks.
Your order is priced in CNY and you pay in your own currency, so somewhere in between a rate gets applied. A third party measuring that gap across agents on 2026-10-08 put OOTDBUY at about twelve percent over the mid-market rate, with a zero service fee. Their own methodology note makes the point plainly: almost every agent charges no service fee, so the fee line tells you little, and the conversion is where the spread lives.
Two practical consequences. Compare agents on the converted total of a real basket, never on the advertised fee. And re-check the number yourself before a large order, because a rate measured on one day is a measurement, not a policy.

Questions people ask at this point
Short answers. Where an official page settles it, the link goes to that page rather than to our summary of it.
Does inspection mean the item is genuine?
No. Inspection checks quantity, colour, size and specifications against your order. Authenticity is not in the published scope, and for electronics the policy excludes quality, model and spare parts as well.
Can I ask for more photos?
Extra inspection services are offered as paid add-ons on the official site, and what they cover is set there, not here. Check the current list before you assume a particular angle or measurement is included.
Why is the total different from what I calculated?
Three usual reasons: domestic freight from the seller to the warehouse is part of product cost, the declaration fee is added separately, and the conversion rate is applied to the whole CNY total rather than to the item price alone.
What does GL mean on a listing?
Nothing official. It is community shorthand for a batch other buyers rated acceptable. No OOTDBUY page uses it, and no warehouse check is tied to it.
